English: Three magnificent buildings - known as 'the Three Graces' - dominate the Liverpool waterfront at Pier Head. On the far left is one of Liverpool's icons, the Royal Liver Building, completed in 1911. It was built as the headquarters of the Royal Liver Insurance group. The two Liver Birds which surmount it are the symbols of the city. Next to it is the Cunard Building (1914-17) and on the right is the Port of Liverpool Building (1904-07).
